As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for several Commissioning Assistance Mechanical for an exciting project at Mongstad.
The position is based at Mongstad. Work will be on day shift or a 4-day week until Easter, followed by a 14/21 rotation schedule.
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?
- Ensure compliance with ATEX directives and regulations
- Perform risk assessments
- Identify and classify hazardous areas
- Implement safety measures
- Prepare documentation and procedures to maintain ATEX compliance
We think you should have:
- Broad experience in system and package engineering
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or minimum 2 years EPC experience within topside
- Software skills: MIPS, PIMS, Microsoft Office
- Proactive, flexible, and a team player
- Experience with ProCoSys
- Field experience in oil/gas industry
- Familiar with Mongstad refinery
- Fluent in Norwegian
