We are now looking for an Electrical Engineer who wants to strengthen our Umbilical & Cable Systems team at Lysaker and be a part of the exciting journey that has just started.


What will you be doing?   
You will be part of our team of subject matter experts (SMEs), supporting the technical execution of subsea power cable projects and contributing to high-quality design and successful project delivery. You will:

• Perform system modelling and electrical analyses for subsea cable systems
• Contribute to the design and specification of power cables and power umbilicals for subsea applications
• Work closely with Lead Engineers to ensure alignment with electrical aspects of project specifications, operator requirements, and applicable international standards
• Participate in technical reviews, design verification, and project meetings
• Support supply chain activities related to supplier qualification and quality surveillance
• Develop engineering specifications and follow up manufacturing activities for cables and associated hardware
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of cable faults
• Provide technical support during offshore cable installation and testing
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Support Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies and contribute to business development activities 

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have the following professional background and experience:
  • MSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with subsea power projects and applications
• Bring a strong commercial focus and continuous improvement mindset
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Can manage multiple priorities effectively, both independently and as part of a team
• Are committed to delivering high-quality work aligned with project plans
