Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?
  • Support the construction team by solving technical issues during installation and building activities on site
  • Interpret drawings and job documentation for the production team
  • Prepare technical documentation and work instructions in collaboration with shop engineering
  • Verify that installation and design are safe, constructible, and HSSE-friendly
  • Ensure effective coordination with work leaders (FIL), method team, shop engineering, and PRE
  • Interface with disciplines such as EIT, piping, structure, civil, HVAC, suppliers, subcontractors, and planning
  • Use and interface with systems like MIPS, Navis, and engineering registers
  • Strive for high HSSE standards in all field-related activities
  • Work closely with production to ensure smooth execution of technical work


We think you should have:
  • Site experience from Norwegian offshore projects
  • Experience with MIPS and 3D tools (Navis, E3D)
  • Familiarity with tubing installation
  • Understanding of as-built drawings and mechanical interface drawings
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Power BI)
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and support production teams effectively
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of E&I experience (relevant work experience may compensate for education)
