In August 2022, Aker Solutions entered into an agreement with SLB and Subsea 7 to form a new Joint Venture for subsea. Our Joint Venture came into effect on the 2nd of October 2023 and has been named OneSubsea. 

By forming OneSubsea, SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea 7 have come together to create the world’s leading subsea technology and solutions provider. We are focused on accelerating innovation to create a step change in subsea production economics and reduce emissions in subsea operations.

The joint venture brings together deep reservoir domain expertise, broad front-end and system design knowledge. We provide an extensive field-proven subsea production and processing technology portfolio, world-class manufacturing scale and capacity, and unique pore-to-process integration capabilities.   

Aker Solutions Congo (ASC) is established for the purpose of creating value for clients and owners by providing superior customer service to Congo sector operators within the oil and gas industry. Superior customer service will be achieved through continual improvement, leadership involvement, demonstration of
initiative, proactive anticipation of client demands, diligent attention to detail, and an effective HSE program designed to identify, report, and prevent unwanted conditions.

ASC shall be a good corporate citizen acting in line with the interests of the Congo Authorities and the general public.

We are now looking for an XMT & WH Engineer who wants to strengthen our team and be part of the exciting journey that has just started. 

What will you be doing?

Operations:

•    Manage maintenance for Christmas trees and wellheads.
•    Support planning team with technical advice for mechanical tasks.
•    Follow HSE rules and standard procedures during maintenance.
•    Handle tasks as requested by the line manager.
•    Take charge of systems during failures until fixed.
•    Report deviations from the daily plan.
•    Repair and assemble Christmas trees.
•    Create procedures for equipment assembly and testing after repairs.
•    Document the manufacturing process of repaired parts.

Methods:

•    Identify and analyze recurring maintenance issues and suggest improvements.
•    Review and suggest improvements for preventive maintenance programs.
•    Alert support teams about recurring spare parts issues.
•    Propose and request changes for better efficiency.

Quality Control:

•    Check the quality of team activities on-site.
•    Ensure team members have the necessary skills and suggest training if needed.

QHSE:

•    Understand and follow QHSE responsibilities as per company policy and law.
•    Promote QHSE standards and compliance among employees.
•    Actively seek opportunities to improve QHSE systems and help implement improvements.

We think you should have:

•    5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
•    University degree (Licenciatura) or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
•    Be fluent in English.
•    Basic IT skills.

More specific:

•    Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety.
•    Experience in operations management.
•    Skilled in scheduling and monitoring tasks.
•    Excellent understanding of mechanics.
•    Familiar with equipment used in oil and gas facilities.
•    Proficient in Christmas tree and wellhead operations.
•    Knowledgeable about subsea equipment.
