BACKGROUND: Our client, a prominent engineering company in the oil and gas industry, traditionally constructs jackets for oil platforms and has recently expanded into offshore fish farms. Their flagship project, prompted the establishment of a new production line to automate processes, requiring a significant increase in staffing for both office and non-office roles.

THE CHALLENGE

Our client faced a significant surge in their project portfolio, driven by major new projects and ongoing commitments. This expansion necessitated a substantial increase in staffing, both for office roles (engineers) and non-office roles (skilled workers).

Initially, the client estimated the need for 300 new permanent hires over the next 18 months. However, this estimate was frequently adjusted as recruitment progressed, with some permanent roles transitioning to temporary contractor positions. The office positions included several managerial roles, while the non-office roles required operators with advanced IT skills for the new production line.

Faced with these challenges, the client needed a reliable partner to manage this extensive recruitment drive efficiently.   • Continuous Alignment: Weekly recruitment project meetings with Project Managers and HR ensured continuous alignment and progress tracking, keeping everyone on the same page.
